Started at Wollaston.
Planned to do the 60m option.
Felt great for 1st 20 miles as we whizzed down & over the M1. But then I started getting a bad pain in my L knee - lateral side. I think this may be the start of Iliotibial band syndrome (google it!). Decided to get back asap on the 48m route & limped home against a cold head on NW wind on one leg effectively.
It was good to be in a big event again - with a bit of company & support
Nice ride - would definately do next year if Im free - and if the leg allows me!
48.9m 3h22m @14.5mph 2262ft climb
